USDA Organic Certification

USDA Organic Certification

Antianti is Japan's first organic cosmetics maker to be officially recognized as genuinely organic by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).

In 2010, Antianti had almost all materials for its products certified by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). We also have met stringent requirements and passed laboratory inspections set by the USDA to be prestigiously certified as being organic. We are proud to have met the requirements for organic agricultural products, even though we are a cosmetics maker. By meeting these standards, Antianti has become the first Japanese cosmetics maker to be certified by the United States Department of Agriculture, which allows only certified organic products to be labeled with the USDA organic logo. This label assures that Antianti products are highly pure, natural, and safe organic products.

What is USDA Organic?

A. USDA stands for United States Department of Agriculture, which implements the most stringent inspection for organic "agricultural products." The products that meet USDA standards are allowed to label their products with the USDA Organic logo. Products that meet USDA organic standards are classified into four ranks, with most of antianti products certified as "100% Organic", which is the highest of these ranks.

Uncertified products are not organic?

A. The answer is "No." Our products without certification are also made of organically cultivated materials carefully selected by us. They are nothing but pure, natural, safe organic products. But you may wonder why they have no logos. That's because some of our products contain natural materials which are not food materials or which are not covered by the USDA certification, and they cannot be applied to the food standards of the USDA/NOP. Among them is a flower clay pack, Among them is a flower clay pack, which contains sea mud dating back tens of millions of years. Although clay is a pure material bestowed by marine blessings, the USDA doesn't cover it in its standards. Therefore, unfortunately, the product cannot obtain the USDA certification. Our 100% organic products are also recycled products that can be reclaimed by the natural earth and water after use. All of our products are made in a manner that they are absorbed by the body and are 100% biodegradable after use, and returned to nature. That is the proof of being genuine organic.
